Ake is the majority owner of the company and our lead web designer. After graduating from college with a degree in fashion design, Ake designed her own line of children's clothing, which she sold in upscale boutiques in Japan. Ake moved from Japan to Honolulu in the early 1980s where she met, and later married, Nick. While in Honolulu, Ake operated a successful business called Hawaii Student Services. She and Nick relocated to Charlottesville, Virginia in 2005.
